A tech talk for Game Development titled “The Art of Games” was held last April 9, 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the CIIT Interweave 2nd Floor Library.
The seminar’s main goal was to teach the attendees about the ins and outs of the game development industry such as the development cycle of games, careers available in the industry, skills needed to get a job, etc.
The first speaker was Mr. Bille Janssen Lagarde, a former CIIT Game Dev Instructor, and now Project Team Lead at Techfactors Incorporated and is currently handling development and server deployment of an online Learning Management System.
The second was Mr. David Nicolo Dela Cruz, another former CIIT Instructor for 3D, and now a freelance 3D artist for Mezco Toys, NECA Marvel Collectibles, Anovos Collectibles and is currently working as Senior Lead Artist at Narrasoft Incorporated.
Jennaleigh Angala, one of the students that organized the event, states: “Since our seminar was about the game development industry, we had to invite guest speakers who has the experience and background in that particular field who can share valuable insights and knowledge to the attendees. Both Mr. Lagarde and David Dela Cruz has those credentials.”
