Last March 2, 2013, hundreds of high school student artists gathered together at Circle Events Place in Timog, Quezon City to compete in the third year of PH.antasya, An Art Contest Unlike Any Other. Their parents, friends, and school representatives watched in awe at the creative output these young artist had produced despite the two-hour time limit.

PH.antasya III welcomed the more than four hundred participants and guests with performances from CIIT Students and an inspiring talk from CIIT Instructor and Multimedia artist, Stanley Coloma.

The winners for both categories received awesome prizes such as a DSLR Camera, top-of-the-line Pen Tablets and Apple iPod Touch. The most supportive school also received a Lenovo Laptop. Lastly but perhaps most exciting, an iPad Mini awaited the winner of the “People’s Choice Award” for being the student whose artwork raised the most number of Facebook likes during a one-week time period.

Winner or not, everyone had something to bring home with the help of Gardenia Bakeries and Tom’s World. Media partners such as Gala Magazine and WhenInManila.com also helped the event become the success it was.

It is not only a memorable experience for the students and guests who participated, but also to CIIT College. It is a reminder that however different people are with each other, everyone is still united by a similar love for the arts.

The main lobby and registration area was immediately jam-packed with participants along with their parents and friends as the afternoon started.

Digital Arts competition was held in the campus of CIIT while the Traditional Arts category was held in a separate venue to hold the more than 100 contestants.

Talents of students were easily displayed as their skills in Photoshop and their imagination fused to create awesome artworks.
