All third and fourth year high school students in Metro Manila are encouraged to join this annual competition focused in traditional and digital arts to win cash and scholarships from CIIT College of Arts and Technology on Saturday, 7 March 2015, in Quezon City.

CIIT College of Arts and Technology will hold its annual art competition entitled Phantasya-V on Saturday, 7 March 2015. Now on its fifth year, Phantasya-V carries the theme “Rising Above” and is considered as one of the few digital arts competition among junior and high school students.

Using Philippine fantasy: Rising Above as its theme, contestants must come up with on-the-spot artworks through traditional or digital mediums. Participants have only four hours to complete their artwork. Since the event will be simultaneous, both categories will be held at the CIIT campus.

Contestants in the traditional arts category are required to bring their own drawing and coloring materials. However, CIIT will provide for the 15”x20” canvas. As for the digital entries, CIIT will provide the stock images for those participants who will use image manipulation.

Php 10,000.00 cash and a full four-year scholarship at CIIT College of Arts and Technology await the first place winners on both categories. Second place winners will receive Php 5,000.00 cash and 80% four-year scholarship each and third place winners will receive Php 3,000.00 cash and 60% four-year scholarship each. In addition, CIIT will also award the fourth and fifth place winners with cash and scholarship prizes.

People’s Choice Award will be given to the participant who garners the most number of likes on CIIT’s Facebook page until a specified date given by the CIIT Admissions team. After tallying the votes, CIIT Admissions will announce the winner and award a surprise gift item to the lucky winner.
