Sam Morales is a second year Multimedia Applications student and an aspiring photographer who was featured in the Picture Perfect section of “Manila Bulletin.” Although featured in one of the country’s biggest newspaper, Sam claims that she’s still an amateur and has a lot more things to learn about photography.

Her featured photo was titled “Saya sa Ulan,” which shows pictures of young people with their brightest smiles under the rain. These photos were supposed to be her project for her finals in Photography I, and when she uploaded it in Facebook one of her Facebook friends (who is also a photographer that she really admires) told her that she should try sending her photos to Manila Bulletin. After a week of waiting she finally made it in.”Syempre masaya! Masaya kasi MANILA BULLETIN KAYA YON! Masaya rin kasi kahit ang bata ko pa nakuha na ko don at ang baguhan ko palang sa field ng photography, at mas lalong masaya kasi 1st time at mapaproud sakin magulang ko e!”

Sam would like to send her gratitude to CIIT that gave her the interest in photography. But most especially to Sir Ed Celestino who is her photography professor that taught her things she should know. She would also like to tell her schoolmates “Practice lang! Kung ano man ung gusto niyong maging o makuha pagdating ng araw magagawa at makukuha niyo yon! Kahit ano pang sabihin ng ibang tao! Kasi kayo lang gumagawa ng destiny niyo. Parang picture lang yan! Ikaw ang photographer! Kaya kahit anong shot ang gawin mo sa model mo, walang pakialam ang audience mo. Kasi audience lang sila. IKAW ANG PHOTOGRAPHER.”
